What simple snacks can you make just as good, better, or cheaper, than a restaurant?
I just microwaved a small handful of Tostitos with a generous amount of shredded cheese for 30 seconds on high. Was great. Only cost under $3. To order out would cost over $16 plus delivery. What other simple snacks do you have?

Sausage and cream cheese stuffed mushrooms.
Bacon wrapped scallops.
Smoothie
This week I have orange juice, spinach, cranberries and a banana. I think it’s about $1.50 per tall glass. As opposed to $5 or more anywhere else.
Never bought raw cranberries before. I am really enjoying those blended in.
I make better guacamole and salsa than any restaurant I have found. I also found a snack that I really like: Hot Cooties. Spread cream cheese on a Triscuit cracker, top with a jalapeno slice and enjoy! Also, I like, for breakfast, toasted sourdough bread topped with sliced tomatoes and avocado slices. You can mix it up with a little mayo or cheese as well.
Melted cheese sandwich, or hot ham and cheese. Always better at home and much cheaper at home.
French toast. I almost never like how it’s prepared in a restaurant, and so cheap to make at home.
Stuffed shells and linguine with meat sauce.
Oven roasted sweet potato wedges (dusted with paprika, curry, cumin, chili powder mix) served with a side of garlicky Greek yogurt dip.
Jalapeno poppers. I have never seen a restaurant that makes them the way Rick does.
Anything deep-fried or chocolate dipped:
like deep-fried mac-n-cheese bites- or chocolate coated treats! Make your favorite mac-n-cheese, spoon into a shallow pan and refrigerate until set. Cut into bite-size chunks, and freeze over night.
Simply coat in flour, then egg wash then a mixture of Panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic salt and parsley flakes- then drop into the fryer!
OR: melt 1 large bag of chocolate chips with 1 TBS coconut oil in microwave ( nuke 1 minute then stir- nuke 30 seconds-stir until melted together.)
Dip Oreo’s, Twinkies, pretzels, marshmallows, Rice Crispy Squares,Fruit etc… let stand at room temperature to set! (I was the Chocolate dipper for Kilwins for years—it’s easy once you get the hang of it!)
