Was the meeting between Trump and Democrats Schumer and Pelosi more like a reality TV show than a real meeting of public servants?

By the looks and the sound of it, it was not a gathering of adults who would have chosen to talk in private but of “performers hoping for applause.”
Why can’t these elected and paid leaders just lead and do their jobs?

Because that is NOT what Lobbyists, corporations, and pacts pay them for.
Because who elected them and who finances them are two different animals.
I think characterizing this meeting as an attempt by Trump to have a reality show moment where he can try to appear tough is spot on.
^^trump said something like “But Nancy this is being transparent.” —— after she said maybe they should debate in private.
Well put by the reality TV show host playing President.
If it wasn’t so serious, it would have been exactly like Rowan and Martin’s “Laugh In.”
Milbank writing for the Washington Post also saw a reality TV show hosted by trump. link
Was it just me or did Pence look terrified someone would notice him and ask him a question?
^^That was Pence on the fence mode.
@mazingerz88 he looked pretty stiff, kinda like that fence post had become impacted.
Also, I do agree with Milbanks characterization, nice link.
