Seriously. He can not talk about one single thing without turning it into a national embarrassment.
He fielded a phone call from a 7 year old girl who wanted to talk to Santa. During the conversation he said to the child, “Are you still a believer in Santa? Because at 7, it’s marginal, right?”

I do wish he’d STFU; but he has NEVER listened to me!!! He NEVER listened to Ivana, Marla, nor Melania; so I’m NOT going to waste my time trying to even gain his attention!!!

That poor child had absolutely NO idea what he was asking her; however, she was polite enough to respond Yes, sir.
Kids are sharp. I’m sure she made the connections, and I’m sure she had some questions for Mom and Dad after that phone call. God I hate that man.
What a fricking nightmare. Christmas Eve, the tree decorated, the fire burning in the hearth and snow softly falling outside. A young girl filled with the magic of Christmas tries to speak to Santa and Trump answers the call.

The most annoying thing about Trump is that he is amoral. He simply has no moral compass. But we do need to listen to him, because he has the backing of some 40% of the country. Michael Sandel, Harvard political philosopher, gives a good evaluation of Trump. There are people in the U.S. who are hurting and who fall for Trumps false populism. This kind of thing is happening worldwide. We need to understand what is going on and counter with an appropriate progressive agenda. It does appear that neo-liberalism is not working.
As a side note, I highly recommend Sandel’s free online video lecture course on justice.
