Why the statement "women rule" and/or "women should rule the world"?

I would state: “Women should rule the world”.
Cause they rule.
And they rock.

And less blood shed (I expect).

How about female voters for Trump, just to mention one example.

I think statements like that continue to push sexism one way or the other. Let’s face it, there are jerks with and without penises. Until we start figuring out it is the character of the person and not their skin color, sex, religious beliefs, or anything else, we are doomed to continue to play out the same silly games that have been going on.

“Boys rule and girls drool” is what we used to say…when we were in 1st grade. So similar statements made by adults disturb me.

I only think that there are more jerks with penisses than without.

It doesn’t mean anything, really. It’s usually used as an off hand compliment, like “She rocks!”

Well, it’s fairly objectively true that for many centuries or even millennia, most of world politics (national and civil) has been at least on the surface severely dominated by male rulers, male officials, male judges, male lawyers, male industrialists, male merchants, male clergy, male voters, males being nearly the only ones receiving education, voting, owning much of anything, doing much of anything other than bearing and raising children and cleaning or maybe running households. Nor were they often even being considered full human beings and not property of their fathers or husbands.

And, what we’ve got is a world where most of the decision-making about what humans do is about a game of which almost-unimaginably-wealthy corporations and banks own how much of the wealth and power on the planet, and mostly because of the drive for corporate and personal greed and power, humans are destroying the ability of the planet to support life as we know it.

So much so, that we may be on course for the extinction of most of the animal species most of us know about, including humans.

Meanwhile, we let many humans starve, go without medical attention, shelter, human rights, etc., again, mostly because of power-and-wealth games.

And then there are endless wars for profit and power, nuclear weapons, chemical and biological weapons that are again about the mandate for power games above concern for human welfare.

SOME radical people think that might have something to do with testosterone and other aspects of human behavior strongly associated with males, rather more than females.

And this sometimes bubbles up in such ideas and statements. Perhaps if there were more women in positions of authority than men, as opposed to it still being mostly men, there might be some different sorts of decisions being made.

@rebbel If that’s the case, it looks like it’s because they re expected to, they’re re conditioned to behave badly, not because of their anatomy, don’t you think? That’s been said before, I think.

There are biological reasons that men behave more aggressively (which can translate into “bad behavior”) than women. But their upbringing can determine what they do with that aggression.

Well, I followed directions, @rebbel, and made a point to go back and read @Zaku‘s post. I agree with him 100% too.

Well, radicals like Beyonce don’t help the situation…
