What kind of music takes hold of your whole being in a fuzzy and strangely pleasant way?
Music that you play….a song heard….a set of instruments maybe from a musical score?
I was born in 1968 but music by Italian composer named Armando Trovajoli and Francis Lai in the film “A Man and a Woman” for some reason have this really weird, strong, breathtakingly mesmerizing effect on me.
Do you have music that does this to you? Links would be nice.

Smooth Jazz and Classicals, nuff’ said.
^^Nice. Heard and liked them but have to listen to Adagio from Spartacus to be reminded about that one. @Jeruba Wonder if you liked the love theme from Spartacus by….North I think.
The Planets by Holst.
Sonata for Cello and Piano No.1 in F Maj, Op 5/1: Adagio sostenuto – Allegro by Emmanuel Ax and Yo-Yo Ma.
The Blues seems to set me all a twitter with Smooth Jazz following a close second!!!
^Yep, sonata by Beethoven. I tried to find a link to it but couldn’t easily.
I did. I just put your entire description into Google and got YouTube hits.
That pas de deux from the ballet Spartacus is one of the most intensely erotic pieces I have ever heard.
^^Looove links…all I need to do is click and voila! : )
My list of favorites is long, but in response to the question, I’m focusing on the ones that cause me what SF radio station KDFC calls “driveway moments”—I won’t get out of my car until they finish. Not even if it makes me late for an appointment.
^^ Nice, but the movie is not the ballet and North is not Khachaturian. Two different pieces.
An Old City Bar by TSO always touches me.
A lot of music from Enya.
