Do restaurants still receive payment if my card was charged by the delivery app?

I was ordering takeout with a food delivery app and I noticed it said, card was charged by the app, not by the restaurant. I assume the restaurant still recieves payment from the app? Or some form of payment?

Yes. I’m not sure of the mechanics but they do get paid.
