Would it scare you if someone from the White House were reading Fluther?

Asked by elbanditoroso (33577points) January 17th, 2019

… and taking our comments and advice as the basis for American policy?

It would scare the heck out of me!

No. What’s said here is not much different than what’s said out in the real world.

kritiper's avatar

Not at all.
But for some, “Paranoia strikes deep.”

KNOWITALL's avatar

No it wouldn’t scare me, but I think they’d have a skewed idea of the populations viewpoint. In the real world in my area, this site has no basis in reality.

LadyMarissa's avatar

No, not really. I have assumed all along that we are most definitely being monitored!!! I say nothing different here than I say in my real life. Should I be concerned? Probably. Am I? NO!!!

ucme's avatar

Nah, gotta find me first ya set of bastards.

rebbel's avatar

“It would scare the heck out of me!”
Depends whose advice they’d take over.

ragingloli's avatar

If they relayed it unfiltered towards that orange oaf, you could not imagine the verbal abuse I would hurl towards his bloated face.

KNOWITALL's avatar

@ragingloli Just curious, for what exactly?

ragingloli's avatar

For everything.

KNOWITALL's avatar

@ragingloli As someone who is not American (far as I know), I’m just curious what exactly you take issue with. Is it relations to Germany, or foreign policy, or you just jumping on the hater train?

ragingloli's avatar

He reneges on agreed treaties.
He cancels agreements just hours after he made them.
He blackmails allies.
He pals around with dictators because he would love to be one.
He throws tantrums, and holds an entire country hostage because he does not get what he wants.
He runs a scam university and a scam charity.
He is a sexual predator.
He is a perpetual liar.
He has a vile personality.
He is disloyal.

All of the above is factually true, and will be denied by you.

But most importantly, he is ugly and has a tiny penis.

ragingloli's avatar

So, as I said.
For everything.

KNOWITALL's avatar

@ragingloli You don’t vote here, so I have no reason to deny any claims, true or false, although I will say even the ‘vile personality’ is subjective. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

What did you think of Obama’s presidency?

kritiper's avatar

Freedom of speech applies to everyone, everywhere. GA, @ragingloli

I always assume my phone is tapped, my emails copied and web existence followed. I worked in Aerospace for almost thirty years (I was told by my father, working for the same company to assume phone calls could be tapped) on Confidential and higher security level projects.

It’s the real reason I lavish so much praise on our fearless leader. I expect to be recruited to the inner circle of White House staff any minute now.

Demosthenes's avatar

Well, in my experience the political commentary you read here isn’t really different than what you find anywhere else. This is American politics.

If I really want the White House to take my political comments seriously, I’d need a Twitter account, but so far I’ve avoided that.

chyna's avatar

No I’m not worried. Much worse is out there onTwitter or TV like the comedienne that held up a replica of a beheaded Trump. If she hasn’t found a horse head in her bed, then I’m pretty safe.

stanleybmanly's avatar

Clearly the White House is not basing its policies on any commentary here. In the vast ocean of online commentary we’re too obscure to be noticed, let alone considered. Besides this isn’t exactly an administration renowned for reading or analysis.

Dutchess_III's avatar

IMPEACH THE MOTHERFUCKER!!! Now, let’s set back and see what happens….

elbanditoroso's avatar

@Dutchess_III – Congress has to do that, not the WH.

If you had written “MAKE TRUMP EAT SALADS”, and he actually did, then we can pat our Fluther selves on the back.

Kardamom's avatar

No. Donald Trump doesn’t give two shits about any American citizens, and he has even less respect for foreigners. Since he doesn’t care about anyone, other than himself, which he has demonstrated repeatedly, and constantly, why would he give a crap about anything anyone over here on Fluther has to say. He just doesn’t care.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Surely they have someone in Congress is is spying on Fluther in fascination.

mazingerz88's avatar

Oh could there be a chance of that? But just in case, FUCK YOU Stephen Miller! You’re lower than a piece of festering maggot turd!

filmfann's avatar

Oh come on! It’s obvious Donald Trump jr is @ragingloli.

LadyMarissa's avatar

@rebbel You’re safe. He doesn’t care what I think & I’m considered a potential vote. You, on the other hand, cannot vote for him; so, he really doesn’t givafck what you think…I’d say you are very SAFE!!!

@ragingloli How do you know what size penis he has??? IF you’re a really good girl, he’ll let you pee on him!!!

jonsblond's avatar

No. Having Trump as president has scared me enough. I’m now numb to being scared.

LadyMarissa's avatar

^ Sad isn’t it when crazy becomes NORMAL???

Patty_Melt's avatar

^^That is only the case on fluther. ^^

ucme's avatar

Haha, reckon if ever they were to remake One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest the producers would find plenty of extras for the ward among members here.

LadyMarissa's avatar

@Patty, you are soooo WRONG!!!

@ucme I think we could ALL have a starring role!!!

ucme's avatar

Ahhhh…juicy fruit.

Patty_Melt's avatar

I watched Cuckoos Nest a few weeks ago.
Having not seen it since the 70’s, I did not realize Danny Davito was in it.

ragingloli's avatar

Reprising his role as “The Penguin”, no doubt.

KNOWITALL's avatar

I figured since it was snowing and cold, I’ll skip the parade. Maybe watch some documentaries bound to be on tv.
