Regardless of his films being a hit or a miss at the box office, I’ve always felt his scripting was consistently solid.

Quite the contrary, I think he’s wildly inconsistent. Which isn’t surprising though, because he takes a lot of risks in his films, especially with the use of humor. I thought the humorous dialogue in The Sixth Sense, Signs and Split were well done, but completely abysmal in The Happening, The Last Airbender and The Visit. Also, he tends to prefer long, drawn out scenes between characters and I thought it worked really well in Unbreakable. But hated it in The Village and Lady in the Water.
I think his trademark twists are hit and miss as well. Some make sense and have an internal logic with the story, but some I think come completely out of left field and feel extremely forced.
Even though Glass has extremely polarizing reviews, I’m still looking forward to it.
