What is a good Futurist site that I can follow, or who do you consider to be a good modern futurist?
Michio Kaku is one of my faves, but I would like to know of more.

RAND Corporation One my friend’s fathers work in Santa Monica RAND in the early 1950’s.
Are you also curious about past futurists? Just wondering.
@Jeruba If you have anything interesting to share, please do! I’ve been fascinated by the projections that I saw as a child, whether in Science Fiction or trend prediction, that were accurate.
Good futurists to me are ones who are aware of and consider workable solutions to the current impending disasters of our time.
So, consideration of how human and other species can not be wiped out by industrial ecosystem destruction, mass extinctions and climate changes. And not overly-optimistic “GMO food will solve everything” notions.
And, consideration of how economic ideas can transform so that the future is not a corporate-dominated hell.
And the futurists I think are good do not have severely incorrect ideas about what artificial intelligence can possibly do and what consciousness is, so they are not thinking that biological humans will be able to become part of a computer program (e.g. “the singularity” or be an AI in an android).
I think good futurists also should understand the psychological problems with modern society, and have some notion that mental health and peoples’ conception of healthy human development need to progress.
@Zaku, I appreciate that you have specific ideas about futurists, but I specifically wanted either names or site names.
You can’t go wrong starting with Ray Kurzweil.
