Who was the greatest military general in history?

Asked by Caravanfan (13771points) January 26th, 2019

My answer is Subutai, who was one of Genghis Khan greatest generals. He led the Mongol army all the way across Asia. When he defeated a Hungarian army there was very little preventing him from going all the way to the Atlantic. It was only the death of Ogedai Khan that prevented it.

@ragingloli Oh, awesome answers. I haven’t yet studied the Punic wars. They’re next on my list of Hardcore History episodes to listen to, actually.

Attila the Hun is fascinating to historians who marvel at his leadership skills and powerful influence over his army especially during battle when things were at there worst.

He was a fifth-century king and general, also known to historians as the “Scourge of God”.

Even today corporate and military leaders study the leadership techniques of Attila the Hun.

Democrats would have benefited from studying Attila the Hum’s leadership skills before the 2016 election.

“Do not underestimate the power of your enemy (political opponents), no matter how great or small, to rise against you on another day”. -Attila the Hun
