What foods are highest in fiber?
I need to avoid high fiber foods today. Does this include lettuce? I have celery and I know it’s high fiber so I won’t eat it, but what else is high in fiber that I might not realize? English muffins? Popcorn?

Here is a list of high fiber foods from The Mayo Clinic:

Things that I eat on a regular basis that have a high fiber content are: prunes, dried cranberries, oatmeal, Grapenuts cereal, beans, whole wheat bread.
Popcorn is high in fiber, as are all nuts. Lettuce is too, but iceberg much less than the darker lettuces.
Pretty much any raw fruits and veggies are high in fiber, and any of the whole grains such as brown rice, quinoa, barley etc.
Lettuce and popcorn definitely do; English muffins not so much unless they are multigrain.
Well, I’m going to make a refried bean, cheese, lettuce, tonamtoe, green onion and salsa burrito. Does that sound low fiber enough?
It’s fibre
You americanos have no idea how to spell
@ucme that is how I spelled it initially. Spell check corrected me so I went with spell check. I figured I’d catch hell either way.
Hardly gave you hell, tongue in cheek banter at the most.
You know, to this day I have to consciously fight against the British spelling of words because my first spelling teachers were AA Milne and Rudyard Kipling! I actually like the British spelling better, but I don’t want to sound all pretentious. Sniff.
The beans are very high in fiber. So is the lettuce and tomato. You’d be better off with a cheese quesadilla.
