Seems like a nice, smart, well meaning person who doesn’t have a chance of winning.
She isn’t a leader. She isn’t inspiring. She is a non-entity from a low population state/
I am waiting to see and hear more; I really don’t know her at all.
I just read a few articles from Buzzfeed and Huff Po about how badly she treats her staff, including shaming them and throwing stuff. That kind of ends it for me considering her.
Very attractive prospect on first glance (and I liked the way she handled herself in the Kavanaugh hearings), but I’d say keep looking.
Anyway I’m probably well more than a year away from being ready to declare.
@janbb Yes, those oppo anonymous hit pieces came out in anticipation of her running.
@Caravanfan Here’s the signed article from HuffPo. Of course they came out in anticipation of her running, who would really care otherwise? I evaluate it as fairly trustworthy. For me, how a candidate treats her staff is indicative potentially of how she will govern. In any case, I plan to back whomever is the candidate although I lean toward Biden or Elizabeth Warren at this point.
You must have not read the article because all of the accusers are anonymous. That’s what I meant
Also it reeks of sexism.
From the article.
I’ve heard people say she’s tough to work for and I sometimes cringe when I hear it because I rarely hear that said about male bosses in Congress despite the fact that half of Congress is tough to work for,” said Tristan Brown, a former legislative aide who called Klobuchar “probably the most brilliant, hardworking person I’ve had the privilege to work for.”
Erik Garcia Luna, who worked in Klobuchar’s Minneapolis office from 2009 to 2014, remembers her as kind. He said that she called her staffers during the 2013 government shutdown to check in with them and make sure they and their families were taken care of.
I don’t have a dog in this fight. Will see how things evolve.
Proud that she is my senator. She got 60% of the vote in 2018 won in many counties that supported Trump. She says what she means and means what she says, and you can’t say that about many politicians these days.
I’ll give her a chance. My mind is open.
I was muchly impressed with her in The Kavanaugh hearings. It was then that she earned my respect and my vote.
