No.
MORE than one can knit pants.
You could. Not sure why you’d want to, but you could.
@all I found a book on Amazon for left-handed knitting for $6.66 on kindle. Am good for now. Thanks.
I don’t mean to pick, but I really am curious as to why the sudden interest in knitting.
Knitting is a good activity for fidgety people.
I started my daughter with knitting when she was nine, to help her get through movies without picking at upholstery or clothes.
@Darth_Algar I got some knitted sweaters and coats from family. They were really comfortable. Just wondering seeing I have lots of spare time.
Ah, so kind of a hobby thing. That’s cool. And if you get good enough at it you can even make some income selling stuff through sites like Etsy.
I might recommend, however, starting off a bit smaller until you get the hang of knitting. Materials can be expensive. Maybe look around and see if theres a community center or some such near you that offers beginner knitting classes.
EDIT: I did find this in your town. While it doesn’t seem specifically aimed at beginners I quite imagine the folks there would be friendly and more than willing to help you get into it – https://m.facebook.com/Red-Deer-Crochet-Knitting-and-Needlework-Club-525964697548801/
You can definitely knit pants, but you will need to learn how to knit, in general first.
I read a novel that was all about people knitting (I don’t knit, but am interested in most needle crafts like crochet, quilting, needlepoint, lacemaking etc) In the novel, I came to understand that when knitting dresses or pants, in which you would not want to be able to see through the garment, much thinner knitting needles are used, for much smaller and tighter knots.

I used to knit, nothing fancy. I had a circular needles, which means they are connected by a plastic cord on the back. I decided once to not go back and forth with my project, but to continue around. This formed a yarn tube. I thought it would be a very warm scarf. It did, indeed, but it took around nine to twelve scanes of yarn. It was a warm, snuggle, very expensive scarf.
The lesson here is, think ahead with your projects, to determine if the cost of time and money is worth it to you. Some types of yarn are pretty, but very expensive.
Please keep us updated. I would like to know how it goes for you.
