Will you donate to an announced candidate you support or will you wait until one is chosen?

I’m debating whether to donate to my preferred Presidential candidate now or wait and donate after the primary season has run its course. Donating now could give someone a boost but take away money from the final candidate.

What is your take on this? Please note that I do not want this to devolve into a fight about the pros and cons of specific candidates and I will flag if it does. Putting it in General for that reason.
