Is Epstein just another angle they're coming at Trump from?

Politics follows a pretty simple decision tree:

1. Is event X being perceived by the public as good or bad?
2. If good, tie it to yourself/your party.
3. If bad, tie it to an opponent/the opposition party.

So the answer is yes, someone will attempt to tie this to Trump. Then someone else will try to explain why it’s really the Democrats’ fault. And since both arguments will inevitably be bad, honest citizens will need to do their own research and decide for themselves.

Awaiting trump supporters’ post mentioning Clinton’s connection with Epstein and that it’s the same if not worse.

I don’t see any political connection, even though Epstein and Trump have a past history.

I agree that anything to make Trump look bad, the epicenter of evil, will be front and center in the news, Think of how many times its already happened.

@mazingerz88 no one cares if anyone else did it. The tie to Trump will be emphasized beyond any logical connection.

Trump has been a friend of Epstein’s for many years but whether that makes Trump look bad or Epstein look bad is hard to say.

Epstein is a scum all by himself, without any connection to Trump. And it sounds like there are lots of people in the legal / justice system that let him get away with it.

There is no try. It’s a fact. Trump’s Labor Secretary Acosta worked on behalf of a child molester and sex trafficker against the victims.

It’s been known for a while, and Trump has kept Acosta in the cabinet.

In order to do something, one must try to do it. I was purposefully using success-neutral language. I was also specifically referring to comments made by politicians.

There is no cabal “coordinating” anything, especially the Special Counsel.

Come on ZenV. Muller is one. Who ever is prosecuting Epstein is the other.

Actually, what I saw recently about Epstein is that the deal that was cut with him is illegal. That has nothing to do with Trump, but does mean Epstein could be facing stiffer punishments. His trial is over. The punishment is all that is being looked at. Now, it might happen that the trial was settled because he took the sweet plea deal (that is supposedly illegal), so he might get another trial, but that could last years as well.

One last time @seawulf575….would you please share what you “saw recently”? If not we will just assume you are making stuff up again.

But no other source. including the Inspector General, has found anything. Adam Schiff says he / congress will do their own investigations.
