Did president Trump fire FBI director James Comey because he was taller than him?

What really happened was that trump merely played a prank on Comey. Pretending to fire him so Comey would fly coach back to DC from LA instead of his FBI airplane.

But Comey insisted on boarding said airplane and he flew back to DC in it.

You give Trump too much credit. As motive, that explanation is too close to rational. Erratic behavior from a psychopath relieves any observer the requirement of delving into why. The answer is always “because he’s a psychopath”. Watching him, one is entitled to guess that the man cannot tolerate anyone who disagrees with him, particularly when it comes to an assessment of himself and his abilities. But why bother with the struggle of trying to figure it out? You can bet that like the rest of us, every shrink in the world has bounced the issue around, and the explanations will drown us once he’s out of office. In the meantime BHP works fine for me.

Trump fired Comey to stop the Russian influence investigation. He bragged about it to his Russian handlers.

Note that the American press was banned from this meeting, in the White House oval office. Only Russian media was allowed.
