Do you have a fabulous seafood dip you'd like to share?

Asked by Aster (20028points) March 11th, 2019

A few years ago we were celebrating the holidays at our friends’ home. She brought out crackers and some sort of seafood dip like shrimp or crab dip. I was eating so much of it that I swear she came up and removed the entire thing from the coffee table. Do you have a crab or shrimp dip that couldn’t be any better?

@ragingloli thanks so much but I must say that sounds totally disgusting.

1 Can of Sockeye salmon
1 8oz cream cheese
1 bundle of green onions
1 TBLS smoke sauce
1 TBLS lemon juice.

Debone the salmon and get all the gross parts off, then just mix everything together.
To make it fancy, crush up pecans or walnuts very fine, then roll the salmon into a ball that is covered with the crushed nuts.

Here is a hot crab dip:

This one has shrimp, scallops, and crab, and mascarpone cheese:

This one is quite different from most of the recipes I looked at. It is a cold crab dip with avocado, cilantro, and lime:
https://ohsweetbasil.com/creamy-cilantro-crab-dip-recipe/

This one has an Asian influence. Sweet chili crab dip:

This one is a hot Cajun shrimp dip:

And this is a cold, smoked salmon dip:

Hopefully you will find something you like from these recipes : )

My favorite is crab dip . Made with a can of crab meat, an 8 oz block of cream cheese, some finely chopped onions. and baked in the oven until there is a light brown crust on top.
I’m sure there are many varieties of the recipe. Simpler is best.
