Is the 200-Year-Old Mummified Buddhist Monk is 'Not Dead' and Just Meditating?

I am pretty sure that mummified and not dead are contradictory.

Cool story!
I think mummified here only refers to the dried and shrunken condition of the body. No procedure had been performed.
I’m thinking if they can remain in that state long enough to make their shadow permanent on rock, or have weeds grow out of them, mummification alive might not be such a stretch.

No, he’s dead. Dead as a fucking doornail. There is nothing special about Buddhist monks. Nothing supernatural. They are as human as everyone else and like every other human being on the planet, they die. Even the Buddha.

Unfortunately, like every other human system, Buddhism has its share of people desperate to believe in bullshit.
