What is something, or some things, that you are will to pay more for to get the real thing?
For me, real butter, and real vanilla, even though both are more expensive than the imitation stuff. They make a huge difference in the taste of the foods you use them with.

I buy butter, not margarine, but I’m not too fussy about the brand of butter. I buy vanilla, and I save by buying a big bottle at Costco. Presently a 16 oz bottle is about 36 bucks, or at least that’s what it was around December, when a friend asked me to pick up a bottle for her. Soda, I prefer the brand Caffeine Free Diet Coke. I never liked generic colas, like RC.
A lot of things I just buy a brand name but I don’t think about it, for example frozen foods or condiments. I prefer Heinz ketchup or Hellman’s mayo. Things like flour and sugar I don’t care about the brand.
I am really into perfume but I try not to buy too much, because after a few years (like two years tops) the scent changes. I am really into soap, and I will buy homemade soap, fancy soap, all kinds of soap. I feel like when it comes to shampoo and conditioner, the cheap stuff works as well as the better stuff, so I buy all kinds. I will also buy that at Costco, and can get brands like Pantene, a big 32 oz bottle for about 8 dollars, sometimes if they have a sale. I’ll also buy cheap stuff at Walmart or the supermarket, 12 oz for about a dollar.
Pillows. Condiments. Name brand Pepsi and Coke.
