I hope for iChat, better stability for safari, voice dialing, better Implementation of the magnifier, and a built in rss aggregator.
Apple will add: ringtones (available through ITMS), safari crash bug fixes
I wish they would add: iChat, increased ringtone volume, and a landscape keyboard in Mail and SMS/iChat
Apple won't add: iChat if it costs ATT too much in lost SMS fees
#1 ringtones b/c they can sell them
I hope they improve the stability of the Maps app. Easily the least stable aspect of my iPhone.
I can care less about ringtones... I have used the old phone sound for the last three years.
my thoughts are is that AT&T; bills instant messaging as they do text messages... Just as they do for their other phones.
That way, they dont loose their revenue, and everyone is happy.
I agree the Maps app needs an update. It's still unstable and I have problems with the address lookup at times.
@Tyson: You're probably right. As much as I would like to have internet-based iChat, it will probably use SMS.
I don't care how will get it I would love iChat also ringtones and a horzontal keypad in all apps sound great also but my main concern for this update is all bug fixes and flash for safari
Web pages are so much more pleasant on the iPhone without Flash! I am a former Flash developer, believe it or not.
O well I would still like the option to have flash for my iPhone ..if you don't like it you could just turn if off I'm sure....I would also like to see a file browser or sometype of customization for the IPhone like custom icons or sound customization
I'm with ThePlate. I worry about page loading speed if iPhone's Safari were to get Flash. ESPN.com is actually bearable without Flash (honestly, one of the most egregious uses of Flash I've seen). Let's just get Safari to stop crashing before we start bolting more stuff to it.
I realize Apple could support Flash and just allow users to disable it, but a lot of people might not realize this and just assume "geez, the iPhone's browser is really slow."
Once the complete YouTube library is converted for iPhone, I can't think of a Flash app that I'd "have to have" on my phone.
