Can someone fact check the last McDonald's beef commercial?

Asked by RedDeerGuy1 (24986points) April 2nd, 2019

The commercial was on a ranch and the rancher said that beef nowadays creates 15% less carbon dioxide emissions than when he first started ranching.

Is it accurate?

Can someone please provide a link to the commercial?

I thought methane was the problem, not carbon dioxide. Do they poop less? Did they change their feed?

BTW McDs doesn’t buy American beef because American beef excceeds their standard of fat to lean ratio. They buy from Australia and other countries where the cattle are range fed.

There is this, although it’s over 9 years old. I’ll see if I can find something more recent.
The big question is, how could they possible do it? Unless they genetically breed cows with some sort of non-cow digestive tract.

Double boeuf with that?
