Have you ever found, in an unexpected place. something you need; something important or valuable that you were not even yet aware that you had misplaced?

A couple of days ago, I had an early appointment to get my car fixed. I put my wallet safely in my pocket.

At the last minute, I decided to wear a long sleeve shirt over what I was wearing, because it was still somewhat cold outside.
I selected a shirt from a choice of about five or six shirts.

I put the shirt on, and felt something in the pocket. It turned out to be my bank card! I thought it was in my wallet.

Had I gone to get my car fixed, if this had not happened, I would have discovered that my bank card was lost when it came time to pay.

These things happen from time to time. Does anyone have a story to tell about a time when you found something you need that you were not even aware was lost?
