What is the best theater show you have ever attended?
This question obviously is for those that have ever attended a theater production. Yes, I guess a high school production would count. And what was it about the production you liked?

The 2013 Tony Awards. Besides it being the Tonys, some of my favorite shows were up for awards and did numbers. The Revival of “Annie:”, the Revival of “Pippin”, and “Matilda”. Also some cool numbers were from “Cinderella” and the opener rocked!
“Stop the World – I Want to Get Off” – - -1963 on Broadway
A few years ago we saw River Dance it was amazing.
My favorite was Tony and Tina’s Wedding. It was a cute play, but the best was that it was audience participation all the way. It was like going to a wedding and reception all in one. I had “Tony” ask me and a couple other guys to help him write his vows (which he used later in the play). We interacted all night with the players and the other members of the audience. At one point a conga line formed up and literally danced its way out of the theater and up the street before it turned and came back inside. It was a blast.
I used to have season passes to the local theater. Most memorable was “to kill a mockingbird” I hated reading the novel back in school but this particular production was great.
The experience that came closes to suspension of disbelief was seeing Daniel Craig and Hugh Jackman in A Steady Rain on Broadway.
Within about five minutes of the play, I was no longer seeing two well known action film actors on a stage, but two close friends interacting over a terrible, tragic, mistake.
Oh. You mean stage. Well, I’ve only been to one and it was The Nutcracker. It was enthralling.
I saw 1776 on Broadway in 1970 and will remember it for life, it was fabulous.
The best play I ever saw was August Wilson’s Two Trains Running at the Denver Center Theater Company in the late 90s. Since then I have tried (without complete success) to track down live performances of his entire Pittsburgh Cycle series.
Are we including everything live? Dance, Musicals, concerts? Or, just things that fall in the category of plays, including musicals?
Wicked and Les Miserables were the top two. I went to a production of Nixon and I thought it was great. Not in my top, but I recommend it if it ever comes your way.
I could name many others if you did top 10. About a year go I enjoyed Rothko in a small theatre-in-the-round type of setting, but I love his art.
I go to the theatre about every other month for a concert or dance show or play or something.
