Men with beards do you like a long biker type beard, or a short nicely trimmed one?

And women what type do you prefer if you like beards, on your guy?
I have had a beard ever since I could grow one but do prefer a short trimmed beard.

I let mine grow wild, and trim when it gets itchy.
Back when I wore a beard I would keep it closely trimmed.
I keep it trimmed. I like a trimmed beard on my man.
I love my husband’s beard. He mostly keeps it trimmed, but when he was younger he let it grow out.
Female here. My partner prefers not to grow a beard because it is itchy. I find beards attractive as long as it is well-maintained.
Life isn’t fare. I’m an old man and can’t grow a decent beard or mustache. Looks terrible. Uneven and scraggly. I never had good hair on my head either. Feel sorry for me. HA!
I’m a female. I’m not a big fan of beards. Some men do look better with a beard (mostly because if that’s the only way you have ever seen them, then that’s only what you know). If a man does have a beard, I prefer it to be trimmed and not bushy and scraggly.
I heard that my stepfather grew a beard but I haven’t seen it yet. He always had a moustache. My sister said that he says women tell him it looks attractive and his girlfriend likes it. Hopefully he keeps it maintained.
My beard has been long, for the past 5 years or so. It seems like it could just keep growing. I have it cut a few inches below my collar bone currently.
For most of my life, I kept it pretty short, and trimmed. As far as girls go, many seem to like it, and want to play with it. Some girls hate it.
I like them trimmed, but some guys’ idea of fashionably artistic looks just dumb. If a man is going to trim and sculpt, they should look at their features and play to their positives.
My last trip to the doctor I saw a man with a nice trim and I had to compliment him. That doesn’t happen often.
