Would it be difficult to change things so that questions are not listed under Activity if all the new responses have been moderated?

Asked by LostInParadise (32185points) April 17th, 2019

There is not much point in opening a question if there is nothing to see other than that there are moderated responses.

I can see how this might be tricky. The question is added to Activity when there is a new response. It would have to be then taken off the Activity list if the response is moderated and there are no new responses since the last unmoderated response. I can see that there might not be enough data in the Fluther database to be able to do this.

I think there’s not a whole lot of new development to the site so any changes I’d like to see would be really helpful and necessary ones, but I don’t count on anything being done at all.

I would love this because when you see there are 9 new activities and 8 of them are moderated spam it is disheartening. But I assume it’s not going to happen.

Well now when I see a plethora of answers I expect the spam. Waaa.

That’s a great idea. If it was spam or moderated it automatically not count as Activity For You.

Activity For You doesn’t even work anymore unless some one actually sends you a question.

@Dutchess_lll I think you’ve got Questions for You and Activity for You confused. Activity for You still works.

I agree with Dutch. If I see a bunch of Activity, I automatically assume that there is likely spam sprinkled in there…

^^ Yes, I agree with her on that too.

You’re right @janbb.
