Do you have a thousand of anything in your home?
Books? Dollars? Coins? Nails?
Whatever – do you have a thousand of anything countable in your place?
countable, in this case, would exclude grains of salt, sugar, or similar

Do Golf balls count, when we started playing the game we went hunting for our balls quite often and always came back with lots more.
I have a chest full of coins.
I own several hundred books, but haven’t quite reached 1000. It’s a goal. I know my dad must have at least 1000 books at my parents’ house, though.
Edit: @canidmajor I’ll take ‘em :D
I have somewhere in the range of 2000 paper books that I am trying to cull. Want some?
Grains of sugar are countable. Just sayin’
My dad had a thousand books when I was growing up, now he has more like 4,000, but I no longer live there. At one point he had closer to 5,000.
In my house I don’t have a thousand anything, and I’m very happy that way.
Thousand toothpicks?
Over 350 cookbooks and over 500 others maybe I do have a thousand books.
14 penny galvanized nails.
Yes, beads. I make jewelry.
Thanks @chyna!
Oh I forgot my wife has over 100,000 beads up-stairs; we used to do craft fairs and would make from scratch necklaces and bracelets.
Probably sheets of toilet paper. I buy in bulk.
Over a thousand Christmas lights. 8 strings of a 150 lights.
I’m sure I have well over 1,000 photographs on my hard drive though I have nevr counted them.
If we are counting grains of sugar or grains of salt, I have closer to millions.
Probably books. Definitely papers. And game counters. Probably disks (mostly software and data, some music and movies).
Yes. And I would wager that given time, everyone here would manage to answer yes. Think about boxes of nails or screws, grains of rice or popcorn. Cornflakes? How many to the box?
BBs, pellets, cash, nails, copy paper, resistors and capacitors.
Oh yeah, copy paper. I do have over a thousand sheets on hand.
Most likely one thousand dead skin cells laying about.
I about 3,000 squares of toilet paper, according to the counting experts at 365 Bath Tissue.
My house itself has about 1,100 square feet of floor space.

I second photographs. Probably closer to 10,000.
I fall just slightly short on dvds, but well over on movies. I have purchased dvds already recorded, but I record lots from TV. Have over 300 rewritable dvds in use at any time. Those can be deleted all or in segments, and he-recorded. I record to those, delete commercials, then dub them to a permanent disc. The reason I have so many rewritables is because doing the edits takes longer than just watching the movie, so they build up as I try to get them processed. I have over 350 final copies, recorded at six hours each, so two to four movies each. Several though are show episodes I recorded, Monk, House, Lucy, Roseanne, and some with multi word titles, and some toddler mix I still have that was for my daughter. On her birthday one year I recorded sesame street and the letter of the day was her first initial, and the number was her age!
I might have that many paper matches, thanks to @LuckyGuy. I haven’t done the math, and not all the matchbooks have the same amount.
I am pretty sure I have over 1000 clothing items. Mostly it is my daughter’s stuff, which I am currently boxing for donation.
I need to get back to my cigarette rolling, and maybe I will have 1000 rolled in a few days.
Echo @LuckyGuy I still breadboard stuff so 1000’s of electronic components. Pellets, bbs….
Mp3s on my hard drives.
Rounds of 223 Remmington
Pennies
Ibuprofin 200 600 mg
Spiders and various other assorted bugs maybe. I live in a 150 year-old house that’s full of all kinds of little openings and cracks for them to get in.
