Is this a sign of a bad friend?

Starting to question my friendship with a friend i’ve known for a few years. We had plans to grab a bite to eat after going to the mall and my friend had offered to drive, on the way to the restaurant I get a call telling me that my father was in an accident, that he’s completely fine not hurt just a bit of damage to the car. Since she was driving I told her I couldn’t stay to eat and I wanted to go home and see my father, she said okay but said she was going to stop first to get food from in the mall to eat. This still bugs me to this day, and I’m considering ending our friendship but not sure if this reaction is justified.
