Why does a person talking on the cell phone annoy more than two people having a conversation with the same amounts of volume and stupidity?

Maybe because you can not understand the content of the conversation.
I hate listening to other people telephoning, and I am similarly annoyed by people conversing in a language that I can not understand.
Yeah. It’s like whispering in a way. It is considered rude to whisper when other people are around.
Does it? Annoy more? It’s the volume I can’t stand, when it’s loud enough I couldn’t even think. lol
It appears they are talking to themselves and they are speaking louder than they would if a person was standing next to them. The person on the other end, if it’s speakerphone, sounds loud and garbled. It’s annoying.
Why dont they understand that?
If it’s the same loudness it should be perceived the same, but some people insist on being annoyed about the cell phone because they perceive it as rude and unnecessary.
It’s like how some people will hate their cousin, because they didn’t come to their house to apologize about a small disagreement, but instead texted it. I mean, that’s just not how things like that are done. ~
There are simply some etiquette rules people should be following, and if they don’t they are horrible, gauche, ruin the day for others, inconsiderate people, and should be banished to the dungeon. ~
It does happen sometimes that people talking on the phone are much louder than in person though. In person people can watch your mouth and body language, and get more information. Words are slightly less necessary than over the phone, and so it isn’t unusual for people to speak in a softer tone in real life. My dad speaks much louder on the phone, and it’s quite honestly ridiculous what he does, and he should never take a call with others around in my opinion.
@Dutchess_lll They are self involved. They don’t care about those around them.
