Do you prefer a fixed dental bridge over implants and why?

Chipped teeth, pulled teeth…this is getting expensive and I don’t know what to do ! So many choices, so little time.

I have three implants and I tell people all the time that they’re great. Yes, they’re expensive but they are worth it. They don’t rot, they don’t come out at night, there are no visible wires, you clean them like your regular teeth, you can eat whatever you want.
I looked into bridges which, in my case, involved filing down good teeth to put the bridges on. I didn’t like that idea. I also didn’t like the idea of visible wires.
As expensive as implants are, I think I would find a way to pay for them if I needed them. I have known several people with bridges and the wires show. Also, they seem to be a pain to clean. My brother got a bridge and won’t wear it.
I’m going to ask this on the Q because I think people here would want to know including the OP.
@jca2 Do you mind telling how much you paid? I have a friend who I thought she said she paid $35k for her whole mouth about 8 years ago. My FIL was just told 8 teeth for $20k!
I’m told Westchester is cheaper than NYC. About 10 years ago, I paid about $4500, which was for the scan of my mouth, the post and the crown. Separate dentists did the post and the crown (specialists).
Husband paid 32K for a mouthful eleven years ago. In no way are they as good as natural teeth. He wouldn’t pay that now! He actually used a young dentist in Arkansas who had never done implants beforehand. His decision!
And btw; I was talking about fixed bridges. Not ones you take out . shudder.
@jca2 $4500 for all three?
A bridge requires cutting into and damaging normal healthy teeth. The bridge will eventually fail as bone under the bridge is eroded away which causes the anchor teeth to shift.
Implants don’t damage surrounding teeth or erode bone and will last longer than us.
I have one implant and it feels like my natural teeth.
