Why aren't Smart people breeding?

I’m pretty sure they are?

What is a smart person? How do you decide who is smart and who isn’t?

For example, anyone who asks “why aren’t smart people breeding?” is pretty stupid.

What a funny thing to ask! By smart, do you mean people who think (have opinions and political leanings) just like you?

Referring to the reproductive habits of people as “breeding” is an odd way to phrase it. I can breed cattle or dogs for the traits I want. People don’t reproduce like that, unless you’re an insane dictator like Hitler who was very much into breeding people.

In the real world people are attracted to each other for various reasons and reproduction happens because of true love, rape or anywhere in between.

Nobody breeds because of one’s smarts.

If that’s true, and I’m open to seeing evidence suggesting that it is, then I would assume it’s because “smart people” look toward the future more than “dumb people” and have judged themselves financially unprepared to provide for children. They may be more career-oriented and less concerned with reproduction.

Because they know how to use birth control, and have a preemptive abortion every week.

Because they know the world is very over populated, and going to hell in a hand bag, and who in their right mind would to knowingly want to add another human to this fuck up?

@Lightlyseared That’s the answer for most child-free couples I know, which are a lot.

Part of me doesn’t want to bring a child into this fucked-up place, but part of me thinks my genes deserve to be passed on. Even gay guys have the same biological urges.
