Who are some famous wise men / women whose memories live on today because of their lives and their words and actions?
And what were they known for? How did they die?
Abraham Lincoln comes to mind. But you can go back as far as you want to go. Hundreds, even thousands of years.

Julius Caesar.
He was once abducted by pirates.
Being the master diplomat he was, he befriended the pirates, and “jokingly” told them, that once he was set free, he would come back and kill them all.
After he was freed, he proceeded to assemble a fleet, hunted down the pirates, took back the ransom, and slit their throats.
He did not!
Julius Ceasar is a good answer. What was he most known for?
(I flagged this so I can add, “And what were they known for” in the details.)
Being killed in the Senate and being the subject of a Shakespeare play.
Oh, and he did. Look it up.
Abraham Lincoln, vampire hunter, has nothing on this guy.
Mother Teresa. “Get off my lawn kids!”
Or something like that.
@ragingloli Is absolutely correct. That did happen. And the other part of that story is that Ceaser was offended when the pirates asking ransom price was too low. If you subscribe to the “Great Man Theory” of history Julius Ceaser is arguably in the top 5, if not #1.
That is great! I’m glad it happened @ragingloli. Sounds vaguely trump-ish, doesn’t it.
Do not insult Caesar like that.
