After post Earth colonies become self-sustaining how long until they declare inependence and start a war with Earth?
Just wondering if space exploration would create new problems?

I think Earth would start a war with them, rather than the other way around. If they are self-sufficient enough to not need the resources of Earth, that’s when they declare independence. Read your history.
There is no reason to assume that that would ever happen.
It’s not always about oil. Remember the Boston Tea Party?
It could never be financially feasible to ship oil planet to planet. That would be silly. And probably so with any other goods.
As soon as a charismatic con artist takes charge.
I think the exact timeline they have scheduled is 50 Earth years.
