How to wash and care for wetsuit?

Look at the tag that is sewn into the seam of the wetsuit. General thinking is you should NOT put them in the washer and that detergent is bad for them. But check your instructions.

Never wash a wet suit in a washing machine. Just hose it down with plain water and let it air dry. Never use bleach or strong soap.

I see people using petroleum jelly on their wet suits to help them slip into them quicker. That’s not a good idea if you want your wet suit to last a long time.

Back when I had one I just used to rinse it out real well and hang it up.
