Are you drinking a lot of water throughout the day?
Do you carry a water bottle with you?
Do you make a concerted effort to stay hydrated, or is it not something you think about and you neglect to do it?

I constantly drink water throughout the day. I have a glass near me at home the vast majority of the time, and I have an 800 ml canteen that I refill probably 3 or 4 times throughout the day at my desk at work.
Ha! I live in Charleston, SC. If I didn’t drink a LOT of water, I’d be super dead from heat stroke.
This time of year, I even pour plenty on myself…Our hot months are not even here just yet…
Yes, probably a liter to five liters a day depending how active I am. Today I want bicycling so it was roughly three- four liters. I also drink coffee in the morning and sometimes a little wine at night, so I pee a lot.
@Hawaii_Jake Guessing it’s the SS Klean canteen right? Only bottle I know that comes in 800ml.
I try, but could do a lot better.
@MrGrimm888 you all have had some really hot days already! (Your neighbor a bit to the north)
I used to. My water intake eventually caused my electrolytes to tank. Wound up in the hospital.
Now I mostly drink liquid when I’m eating or if I’m particlarly thirsty for some reason.
@Lonelyheart807 . Yeah. We’ve had some heat. But the real summer is still to come, and Hell’s coming with it…
Dutch. Have you tried coconut water? It has all the electrolytes that Gatorade has, but far less sodium. It can be a bit pricey, but can be bought in bulk much cheaper.
Disclaimer, if you have not tried it before, make sure it’s cold. Most people love it, or hate it…
I only drink when I’m thirsty. I feel like I don’t drink as much as I hope to, but I just can’t form a habit of drinking regularly.
@Grimm Coconut water is AWESOME!
I am under doc orders to increase my salt intake. Low sodium levels will seriously F you up. So I’m on supplements and salt.
Pedialite isn’t too bad as long as it’s cold.
I know. I’m completely topsy turvy.
My cholesterol numbers are the best my doc had ever seen in 35 years of practice.
LOL no! I have no particular diet. I just watch my calorie intake.
That leads me away from certain foods like pork, fat and sugar.
Mostly I’d guess the numbers are genetic.
Indeed. Low sodium levels, are anomalous. Especially in America.
When I used to drink water constantly I just had a 32.oz styrofoam pop cup that I’d fill with water and ice for free. I never had a water bottle.
I’m going to say no. I don’t drink nearly as much as many other people I know. I do care about staying hydrated though.
At one point I was drinking more water, trying to force myself, and at around the same time I had a low kidney function result (I think due to a new medication) and so I read up on kidney function, and it said not to drink excessive amounts of water, and so I was like what the hell I can’t win.
I’m a big believer in if your urine is basically clear you don’t need more water. If your urine is very yellow then probably need to drink more.
I hate having to wake up at night to pee, so I especially try not to drink right before bed.
I live in a hot climate, so I’m careful about staying hydrated when outside. I also Zumba and swim, and I stay hydrated when exercising.
It’s much easier for me to drink flavored liquids than water (I don’t know why) but I mostly drink water.
I bring water to my Zumba class. I bring water if I go out dancing outside when it’s 80 degrees outside, but once it runs out I rarely need to buy more, I don’t have water with me constantly it everywhere I go.
My main concern is blood clots, that the main reason I try that stay hydrated.
I drink a decent amount of water most days (filling a glass from the refrigerator dispenser when at home), but I’ve never been the water bottle type and there are times when I forget to drink water, especially when I’m at work. So I could improve in this area. Water is about all I drink though, other than the occasional cup of tea.
Now that Summer is approaching and the weather gets very hot I have been drinking water more often to keep hydrated.
When I get up in the morning I slam down two 16 oz of water with my vitamins. The rest of the day I drink water whenever I get thirsty.
