How do you think you will die?

Most likely heart-problems or cancer (I’m not being morbid, just going with the odds).

I’d rather not think of that right now. Being only a teenager, I have the rest of the life to look forward to. hopefully it’s in the arms of a beautiful woman

Probably a form of cancer.

I have an incurable disease but do not plan to let it run its course…it’s much too ugly. So, I will exercise my right to die, when I feel it appropriate, in a very humane and tidy manner.

Heart stoke (in my sleep hopefully)

With my luck, it’ll be a shark that does me in.

It’ll be lung cancer unless I can figure out how to quit smoking.

And, @JackAdams, I’ve not completely ruled out taking someone down with me! Just kidding, of course. I love your posts (complete with timestamp),...it’s your choice of dictionary I find unsettling.

I guess that means I can rule you out, as someone in here, who will murder me.

Gunshot wound. Although cancer is certainly a contender.

I actually have a plan for nice suicide, if I ever reach 80.

So many health issues to choose from… Probably heart problems. Or a hate crime.

The future looks dim for me.

Car accident – not because I’m a bad driver, but I’ve gotten “flashes” of it in my head. If that doesn’t get me, family health history would dictate a heart attack.

I don’t know, but it will probably happen while I’m Fluthering!

wow i really dont know. no one in my family has died so i dont know, like, what i’m most likely to die from. also, im still at that point in my life where i think im invincible so trying to picture a death and have it feel ‘right’ doesnt really work.
the only dream i’ve had where i’ve died, i died because of freezing to death from the next ice age.

my family has a curse, no lives longer than 50.

So, how much more of this do we have to go?

@cheeb & bodyhead—I’m genderqueer. So the world’s a little bit scary anyway and it’s seemed to me that in the past few months the number of news stories about transpeople being murdered for being themselves has been unusually high, so it’s on my mind.

With my luck, I’ll probably go in a plane crash. I’m leaving tomorrow for Florida. I’ll be flying through the remnants of Tropical Storm Fay with one of the computers that registers flight plans down. I’ll be on a small plane that only seats 50 people. If that doesn’t do it, Hurricane Gustav will probaly get me on the way back. They are saying it’s due to hit on Monday, the day I fly back to Jersey.

Whew!! I thought the above was going to be my last post here! I had a very rough ride to Florida. They said there would be turbulence, which I expected because of the thundrstorm we headed through, but nobody said anything about the plane suddenly DROPPING!! The flight attendant was sitting in the row across from me, and we we chatting away when all of a sudden, then plane just seemed to fall quickly. It was enough of a drop that my stomach was in my throat, and I let out a little scream. Brian, my flight attendant just said, “well that was fun.” Then it happened again but worse. I normally love to fly, but this flight was out of the ordinary.

When it was time to land, I watched the runway get closer from the window, and just as the landing gear was about to touch the ground, we took off again, going almost straight up!! The captain came on after a very long couple of minutes, and said,“Ladies and gentlemen, we apologive for the ‘missed approach’ and any inconvienience, but we’ll be circling back around to try again shortly.” I was happy about being back in Florida, but this time I wanted to kiss the ground!!

we will see when the time comes.

Thanks whatthefluther , It’s good to be back, but I already miss my babies terribly….sigh!

My ideal death will be that I can die in my sleep at home in my own bed. I would like to be able to tell my wife and daughters that I love them before I go and not to worry about me and that they should go on with their life and be happy. Unless I have a progressive disease such as Alzheimer’s which 5 million Americans get each year I would like to remain active as long as I can.
