Although it looks funky, that link does work.
Wow, okay, I looked at the link, and did not know those were a thing. I was just thinking of the stackable washer and dryers.
We had a neighbor in the 1950’s that had a stainless steel washer-dryer. I remember it in the garage right in front of his Nash-Metropolitan, it was Turquoise and Cream convertible !
In Europe they are quite common but they seem to take a long time generally for each cycle.
As people stated above, yes, but what I have heard is the unit takes a long time to dry the clothes, because there is still water in the drum after the washing cycle is done. Not a lot, but it’s wetter than putting just spun wash into a totally dry dryer. If you’re tight on space I think it’s still better to get a stacked washer and dryer. Just my opinion from what I have heard.
One good thing about the single unit is not pulling wet clothing out of the washer, which can be a strain for people with back troubles.
My family had one in the early sixties, when we lived in a Victorian house that had a very small laundry room. Came from Sears.
