What to do with wet shoes?

My shoes got wet and I couldn’t take them off for awhile. Now they smell. How can I get the smell out? The sole insert doesn’t come out and the shoe has suede so I can’t throw them in the wash.

You can try sprinkling baking soda in them, leave it for a few days. Crumpled newspaper is also said to work. Good luck!
Bake them out in the sun to sun dry
I would try Febreeze or Lysol.
Dry cleaning?
Also, if they smell and you got them wet already anyway, what difference does it make if you put them in the wash? They smell b/c something is growing in there…be it fungus, mildew, bacteria or whatever. Ick.
I keep rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle and spray down the insides of my husband’s and sons’ shoes with it to remove the stink after they have gotten wet. It kills whatever is growing pretty quickly and removes the odor.

Put the shoes inside of Ziploc bags and put them in the freezer overnight. The bacteria that makes shoes smell will be killed by the cold, just make sure they are completely dried out first as you do not want expanding water in the shoes to damage them.
There is a solution to remove smell from shoes. Put a tea bag in the shoes. It will remove all the smell from the shoes. Hope it will be helpful.
