Have you ever eaten a slice of bread on its own?
I just had a slice of cranberry bread , and it was awesome.

Why yes. Toasted or not. Don’t you ever get bread on the table at a restaurant?
Since I live in the area with the best sourdough in the world, my kids and I have to buy two baguettes: one to eat while doing the grocery shopping, one to make it home.
One can still fashion a perfectly adequate sandwich from one slice of bread.
Simply insert filling & fold, so yeah, I have.
Depends on the bread. A slice of Wonder bread (white, pseudo-bread) is enough to make someone gag.
A slice of rye or sourdough is a whole different experience.
And a slice of multi-grain, with butter or peanut butter, can be quite good.
Absolutely! Many times. It does depend on the bread.
Yeah. Mainly when I was in college and getting ready for a night of drinking and hadn’t eaten that day. I’d bolt down a couple pieces of bread to hopefully….keep the peace in my body.
Of course. Weekly, even. There’s a great local bakery which makes amazing bread.
I have.
I have also used a slice of bread to wipe the last traces of gravy or broth from my plate. Mmmmm!
Yes. Various sweet breads (banana, persimmon, cranberry), but also sometimes I’ve just eaten a slice of sourdough by itself. If it’s truly good bread it can be eaten by itself.
