What kind of services would you want if you were a Veteran?
Hi,
I’m looking to open a service center for Veterans but could use some help with ideas. It’ll most likely be in Seattle Washington but I’m still looking and trying to decide. I currently live in PA and I need to move and start fresh.

It would depend totally on what my needs were – physical or emotional – and what I was getting or not getting from the local VA center. What is your area of expertise?
First off, Welcome to Fluther! And thanks for the great question. How about a service to help navigate the mire of bureaucracy? Maybe to help make people aware of what benefits they are eligible for and what the criteria are for acceptance? Maybe set up as a liaison for veterans to help them get their needs met?
Mental Health but my goal is to be better and more affordable. I’ve been in the mental health field both personally and professionally for 15 years and I am a couple weeks from turning 25. I have multiple certifications in this field most of them would be useful in helping veterans. I suffer from PTSD along with multiple other disorders and I have experience in the addiction field also. I lost my first fiance to a suicidal Heroin overdose. I personally didn’t serve in the military, although I tried, I was denied because of a football injury I suffered in highschool, but I’m from a military family and was raised with strict military code.
I’d want health services, mental health services, help with finding affordable housing, help with paying for school or training, and getting in touch with other people or groups with similar interests.
Cheap, quick, bureaucracyless bulk euthanasia.
