Is there some etiquette for responding when someone adds you to their fluther?

Asked by wundayatta (58741points) August 27th, 2008

Like, do we send flowers? A candygram? A note of love and appreciation? Or do you pretend nothing is going on?

So tell me—what? Insipid mind wants to know.

I always make sure to send them a Vermont Teddy Bear.

I can think of several… oh wait, you mean people that you WANT to be added to their fluther? Hmmm. That changes things…

On a related note, can you remove yourself from someone’s fluther?

Seriously though, if it’s someone I want to add to mine, I just do that. I don’t see a lot of “thanks for the add” going on in here, like you see on MySpace or the like. I don’t think you need to do anything at all.

You probably don’t, I’d agree. My previous home was Askville and there it seemed pretty common that you would send a “compliment” thanking them for the add, (then usually add them yourself). I’m sorry I don’t know that much about the fluther adding yet, but I’d say it couldn’t hurt to send them a PM saying thank you or something. Probably adding them to yours is sufficient, though. (Or you could do the Vermont Teddy Bear thing provided you had the funds… great suggestion! Now where’s that “add Astrochuck to fluther” button?)
