Do you know of a legitimate song that has a website as one of the lyrics?

Asked by Nevada83 (1029points) September 9th, 2019

A few minutes ago I heard a radio ad of some country singer singing about a banking website and I wanted to know if there were any legit songs that have a website as a lyric.

Not that I’ve ever heard of. Since entertainment figures try to sell us life insurance, I don’t see it that far a stretch that some singer couldn’t write a song about the website that’s willing to pay them to promote their site. I think I’d stay away from sites like that

I think the Google Dolls named themselves after a search engine. ;-p

@Brian1946 The mishearing song lyrics is a different thread. The Goo Goo Dolls formed decades before Google was created.

“Google Dolls” is a fictitious band name that I concocted as a play on the name, Goo Goo Dolls; the words forming that name are not lyrics. I realize that there’s a different thread for misheard lyrics, but I fully intended to post my previous comment here. I also realize that the OP is asking about lyrics, and not band names.

I realize that the GGD formed 12 years before Google was founded.

My post was not to be taken seriously, which is why I terminated it with a ;-p.

To me it’s a goofy and expendable post, which I don’t take seriously either.

I know the OP is in General, and I have no problems with this reply and its predecessor being removed.

It shouldn’t be removed because I found it funny and cute.
