Is there a way to buy the new Snowden book but NOT have the proceeds go to the government?

Asked by elbanditoroso (33547points) September 18th, 2019

I want to read the new Edward Snowden book link but I want him to get the profits – not the US government. The feds are trying to confiscate his earnings.

Is there a way to do that?

Maybe buy from Amazon UK or some other overseas bookseller?

How about a library, or going to a bookstore that lets you sit there and read their books?

Or ask to borrow someone else’s copy.

I think I’d be more concerned about being put on the government’s “subversive watch list” than giving them my money. Maybe you could contact Snowden direct & then send him cash for a signed copy

GA because I would probably be concerned about being on some list.

But have to say that contacting him directly for a personal copy would probably get you on the shorter list. LOL

Go to the library!

Or wait a week or two, It will soon be leaked on a Wkileaks clone page and you can download the pdf.

To stop the Government from getting the profits? Buy used.

To give Snowden the money? Nope.

Personally, I would like to scan every page, and put it online, kinda like what he did with national secrets and wikileaks.

I want to own the book. Sure, the library is an option, but that doesn’t get Snowden any money, and he is the one I want to support.
