Remember Folk/Pop and Folk/Rock music? Combine that with a mix of patriotic and folk songs.

That has kinda become tantamount to holding hands and singing Kum Bah Yah. But Summer Camp was often a different vibe than the current political scene.

Arlo Guthrie or Peter, Paul and Mary singing “This Land is Your Land” was both patriotic American Conservative and also kinda liberal.

No one I know remembers folk-rock well, or really knows what I talk or write about when I mention the last night of Summer Camp. But I will never forget. And I think in that spirit one kind find both conservative patriotic “God and Country” Americans and a liberal-leaning social justice and conservation / ecology spirit

If you don’t talk politics, Americans from the different political parties are 90% the same. They have a ton in common. Most people I hang out with where I live don’t talk politics, and we have Zumba and dancing in common. Restaurants we like. Agonizing about our weight gain. The ones who have grandchildren have that in common. People in my circles don’t connect because of politics, we connect because we like the same fun things, or have similar interests.

When I was dating my husband I cared about his politics, because I live with him, and thought I was going to have babies with him. everyone else, for the most part, politics are irrelevant to me, unless it’s relevant to the other person. Much like religion, I don’t care what ypu religion you are, unless you care what religion I am, then it probably won’t work.

To me. It’s all about coexistence. Not just within our country, but with other countries. It really bothers me, when the US, is hurting people, in other countries.

It bothers me, how some American people, cannot accept the fact that other cultures are mixed with our own.

I have ZERO tolerance for racism. And hate when people try to “bond” with me, because I’m Caucasian.

The fact is, I don’t love my country. The population has disappointed me greatly.

I had a brief moment of pride, when Obama was elected. But some people, really made me look down on them, when they talked to me about his shortcomings. ALL presidents have faults, but they seemed to be more upset about them, because he was black….

I’m not pleased, with the current White/Christian versus everyone else bullshit. I thought we were making progress, in that department. Boy was I wrong…

I was at a bar, after work, two nights ago. There was a guy talking about the amendments, and poor people. He eventually started getting heated up,, talking to some guy I never met. He started cursing the guy out, for being a poor person, and saying that his taxes, were paying for that guy’s life. Eventually, I asked for the bartenders, to remove him. He didn’t go quietly. Part of me, wanted to see him in the parking lot. I sat there, listening to him berate this guy, for about 20 minutes. I had him thrown out. And, to be honest, I wanted him to focus on me. So. I started talking shit to him. I wanted to stomp a puddle, in his ass. He was a “Trumper,” so he was also a coward. He backed down. He left. I left soon after. Hoping to find him. HE, is what is wrong with America. He’s lucky, I didn’t see him later… I am indeed, currently injured, from a fall. But I was sick of his mouth. Sick of his talking down to the people who didn’t agree with him. We exchanged words, as he left. But he left. I told him some very offensive things. He tucked tail, and ran. As with almost ALL Trumpers, he was far more bark, than bite. He felt comfortable bullying a smaller man, than him. When I got involved, he showed his true colors.

The smaller guy/victim, of his bullying thanked me. I told him that I needed no thanks. I would have loved to continue our conversation, in the parking lot. But he drove off, as fast as his pussy ass could.

These alt-right people, are fucking cowards. They vote, to get their way, but can’t handle anything else. They are pathetic.

They love their country. As long as it’s White/Christian. Otherwise, they seem to hate everyone else…

The only thing we have in common, is a zip code….

I think we all want prosperity, for the US. But lots of Trumpers, just want prosperity, for “their kind.”...
