If you asked me my Race I would say “human” that’s what I put on all the forms anyway.

But overall, a mixed-up Canadian with no real cultural identity.
Well everyone is different, but we are all human, unlike “some”, but it’s alright you can learn from different cultures, but that is not what this thread is about…heh. unless anyone wants to talk about it, and Shadling you’re not sure about if you’re russian?
I like the fact that everyone is a mix, It has more…...how do you say…I don’t know, but it’s cool!
Ahaha I’ve been told that I had a Russian relative somewhere down the line. My parents aren’t big on family history. I agree that it’s cool. But I wish I had some subcultural group to go to occasionally.
Well this could be a start of one. what do you think?
oh, well that’s interesting odd, but hey everyone is mixed and that’s cool.

Ah Japanese, from who’s side.
100% Hapa as well! (I have a t-shirt I wore when I was little that said “Hapa.. And darn proud of it!)
I’m half Mexican and half Japanese. My mother is Mexican and father Japanese.
Hapa? it’s interesting how many people here are mixed wouldn’t you agree.
@Darknymph Japanese on my dad side.
@TheHaight very cool! Have you seen the book 100% Hapa: Part Asian?
I never used to embrace my roots when I was younger, I was a little embarrassed about it. Now I’m proud of my heritage. Granted I don’t look Japanese in the slightest. I get a majority of the genes from my mom.

I’m Scottish and people think I’ll be a drunk, bu you know what, I’m PROUD of Scotland.
@glitterrrrfish Hapa is a term that is comes from the Hawaiian language to mean part or half. It was commonly used as a derogatory term towards those that were part Caucasian i.e. Hapa Haole. Now it’s a commonly acceptable term used to refer to as being part asian. So technically I can refer to myself as Hapa Kepani (part Japanese). Or just hapa.
