Answer: Hoarse, now.
@Caravanfan – You didn’t scream that correction, did you?? :D
@rebbel -I need to take a moment XD
Used tobe low and sexy. So Iwas told.
No. It just changed as I got older…I think. I don’t know. No one comments on it any more. I never tried to make it do anything. When I worked for CellOne I answered the phone, “Cell One, this is Val.”
There was a pause at the other end and the guy suddenly exploded, “God DAMN you have a sexy voice!” Oh shit. Didn’t mean to.
When I worked for Rubbermaid I got tapped to run the phone lines when the operator was at lunch. Todd, our boss said, “Face it. You have the best phone voice of all the girls in here. Best telephone voice I’ve ever heard.”
I felt embarrassed. I wasn’t trying to do anything.
@Dutchess_III -Mine is deep as well. I have never worked phone lines though. It’s sounds like a novel way to meet new friends! Lol!
My sister and I sound a lot alike & that is still fun to play with.
Ha ha! I sounded a lot like my oldest daughter. OMG…a guy would call and he’d reveal all kinds of shit until I finally said, “Hang on. Let me get Jen…”

@Dutchess_III -My husband is a good mimic and used to call co-workers out on jobs using the voice of the supervisor.
Sometimes, when I’d ask who called, he’d answer in the voice of whoever it was. :D
@gawd blimey woman No i’m the opposite end of the country, way up north in Durham.
I’m sure we all did our voices on a post years ago, through audio boom.
No. I did not sound like Eliza Dolittle’s dad.
Also, I didn’t try to mimic her. I had no idea who was calling when they called (this was in landline days.) I just sounded like her.
Yes, we did do our voices didn’t we @ucme? A long time ago.

Gay voice.
I have a theatre background, however, so I can turn it off.

@Hawaii_Jake – I do when I want to dodge cabbages.
I bet you have a decent voice because you are able to change your normal speaking voice.
In certain situations I can certainly change my voice! I’m a teacher. And a mom. And a gramma.
@josie – Nice! Do you sing during conversations?
Too late to edit that! @josie
lol!
Calm, most of the people that I have talked to me that I have a good voice. Even when I am mad they think that I am just joking and not serious. They always laugh when I try to shout.
Youthful, soft & relaxing.
“Southern.” That reminds me….my now 5 year old Zoey has had this crazy way of pronouncing words ever since she learned to talk. It’s like some sort of hyper-southern dialect. Her parents don’t speak that way! We certainly don’t! But it goes something like this: We had the kids out at the lake. I was towing them around on an inflatable dingy.
Her little brother, Cooper, kept “falling” out of the raft.
“Oh no!” Zoey would yell. “I gutta save that liddle BOI!!!” (Boy, only pronounced kind of like “buoy.”) and she’d fling herself out of the raft with great haste and save that liddle boi. Damn near drowned him in the process tho!
The other day we met a farmer at his pasture. We had to wait for him to unlock the gate. He had a guard on front of his truck.
“Why doesn’t he just ram the gate with his truck!” I said.
Zoey said, “He could just ram it with his bowdee.” (Body.)
I was in the back seat with the kids and I caught my sons laughing eyes in the rearview mirror and said, “Why does your kid talk so weird?!” :D :D :D
He shook his head. “I don’t know, Ma.”
She used to squeak a lot but she’s growing out of that. ;(
It’s a she. I thought they were crazy when they told me they were naming their new baby Zoey.
Turns out it’s PERFECT! Zany Zoey!.
And head stand
And a weird face for no reason
She has the BEST bed head hair!
But..she has some confidence issues ~ :D
And she LOVES her dad’s lizard!
And she loves frogs
And she loves her Grampa
She is honestly, one of the most remarkable children I have ever known.
Some times they get to spend the night. One such afternoon they came piling in. Zoey ran up to me, eyes sparkling and snapping, barely able to contain her excitement and, since I probably didn’t know, said, “We gone spenda niiite whit you!!!”
