Genesis – Selling England By the Pound
Been tripping on old Genesis lately. The Gabriel/Rutherford/Banks/Hackett/Collins era is golden.

The fish tanks in the house.
The Lumineers’ new album III.
Listening to some jazz. Specifically the song “Stuffy”. My favorite cover is by Leo Parker.
I want fish tanks in my house @jca2. Unfortunately all I have is an overgrown Boxer. Trade?
At this very moment, the sound of the space heater.
Yesterday evening, the last record I played, was Santana’s Moonflower.
Before that Royal Scam, Steely Dan.
I’ve been listening to The Very Best of Chicago, but I’m now listening to a Plexaderm commercial on a Johnny Carson rerun from October, 1984.
@rebbel
Moonflower is an excellent album; “I’ll be Waiting” is one of my all-time favorite tunes.
I found this version of Chunga’s Revenge on YouTube earlier this week and I’ve been listening to it quite a lot.
Gary Moore – 5 Album Set Still Got the Blues
I had a good ways to drive so I listened to a good bit of 2 of the discs. That man could lay down some blues!!!
@Darth_Algar Genesis was the very first concert I ever attended way back in 1976. Great concert!
Right now I’m listening to a mish-mash. Dream Theater is currently playing. It was ELO before that, Diana Ross and the Supremes before that. Led Zepplin is coming up next!
Mark Knopfler and Kate Wolf – separately but I have been listening to the Mark Knopfler and Emmylou Harris CD too.
Scott Joplin with a side of bhangra. Kind of a weird combination.
@seawulf575 That’s cool, though admittedly, I’m not a big fan of them once Phil Collins took over as frontman (and after Steve Hackett left that’s pretty much where their music completely loses me). I would have loved to have seen them during the Peter Gabriel era though.

^ Was a huge Bauhaus fan when I was young. While I never really got into Peter Murphy’s solo stuff, I did see him in 1988 when he opened for The Church. Cuts You Up definitely brings the nostalgia.
Solo stuff is never as good.
Bauhaus is way better.
Woke up this morning to thick fog. Made me miss my sister who was super into Peter Murphy. I still remember the posters in our room growing up.
Kind of jealous you got to see The Church perform.
Wiegedood – De Doden Hebben Het Goed
It’s a 90s playlist. Currently on: Barenaked Ladies with One Week.
Current 93 – Black Ships Ate the Sky
Watain – Lawless Darkness
Current 93 – Birth Canal Blues
As Lonely As Dave Bowman – Pod
William Basinski – The Disintegration Loops
@raum
Me too. :(
I’m listening to Siverbird, by Leo Sayer.
He and Art Garfunkle are the best falsetto singers I’ve ever heard.
Even though @Darth liked death metal bands like Overkill ;), perhaps he can live on with us in this thread, even if Leo’s celestial voice annoys him. ;p
I’m learning the harmonica so I’m listening to lots of Whammer Jammer renditions,
and Adam Gussow stuff.
This is really good for my lungs.
