Shindlers List Disturbing yet a great movie.
Pretty Woman just a fun movie and I like to look at Richard Gere.
Bohemian Rhapsody I love the music.
I liked all three.
I love Queen too.
I rarely go to the movies but I wanted to see that in a theater.
We went to one that had the reclining seats, They had waitresses that brought me lunch & a beer.
Strange thing but fun.
There is a “boutique” theater where live (under 30 seats, I think) and they show old movies every few weeks. I’d love to see“My Fair Lady”, “Being There”, “All About Eve” & “Ponette” for starters.
What a fun way to watch a movie! I’m jealous.
@chyna – I haven’t been back since.Lol!
It takes a lot to get me to go to a movie.
Mulholland Dr. requires multiple viewings to “get it” and maybe not even then. I’ve seen The Big Lebowski and Zoolander multiple times as well, albeit for different reasons.

@Demosthenes – A friiend loves that movie.I have yet to see it.
The Big Lebowski I have seen a few times. As for Zoolander, it gets funnier to me the more I run into it.
@rajstartup -I am not familiar with that one.
I bet that I’ve watched Dirty Dancing at least 100 times. I love the storyline & could look at the young Patrick Swayze ALL day/night long!!!
I’ve probably watched Bohemian Rhapsody at least 20 times. Top Gun 50 times. Road House 75 times (Patrick Swayze & Sam Elliott sandwich). Ghost numerous times. Not only is it funny, but PATRICK SWAYZE!!!
I haven’t been to a movie theater since 1990; so on my nights home alone, I go back & watch movies that I enjoy. I’m getting to the age where the new movies don’t excite me so much where the old ones brings back some fond memories of things that were happening in my life at the time.
Oops, forgot…it’s a dumb movie but it makes me laugh…Paul Blart, Mall Cop. That one comes on regular TV just every so often.
@LadyMarissa – The first time I saw Patrick Swayze was in a series about The Civil War (I think)
He was handsome and probably outside the Golden Mean. Does it matter? Noooooooooooooo. :)
I am not familiar with the other movie.
North & South I believe it was. I would have loved to look over Patrick until I could find one single flaw!!! :]
In theater? I think I saw Diamonds Are Forever a dozen times.
At home? I have watched a hundred or more many, many times. Off the top of my head: Casablanca
Citizen Kane
Fight Club
Raiders of The Lost Ark
Jurassic Park
All well crafted films. Great writing, direction, acting.
@lucillelucillelucille OMG you are wicked to the core!!! I hadn’t seen that one in years. Just glad I don’t have a doctor’s appointment today. My blood pressure just went through the roof!!! You could bounce a quarter off that tushie!!!
THANK YOU!!!
Regarding Henry is another that I visit every now & again. Love the storyline.
@filmfann – I never got through “Fight Club”. I know many liked it though.
“Citizen Kane” was interesting. I haven’t watched it in a long time.
Most of Clint’s movies.
Green Mile
Shawshank
My fave of all time though is still Grand Budapest Hotel, I could literally eat that film.
@ucme -I like him too.His character in Gran Torino reminds me of my dad. :)
@flutherother – My husband loved Blade Runner.
@ucme- LOLOLOL!
My dad just threw me in as an infant and said, “SWIM NOW!”
So it was said, so it was done.
You have to admire old school parenting though, my grandad held me over the edge of a pier during a storm when I was 6. My mum was horrified & he tried calming her by telling her to look at the thrill of joy on my face…it wasn’t joy & I recall soiling myself as the ever growing waves lapped at my arse.
@ucme – Don’t be a baby! Lol!
Oh that’s not even the worst, another time, around the same age he held me over the top of a cathedral. Said i’d get a better view that way, he obviously wanted to me to die the crazy old bugger.
@ucme – How tall was he??
Yeah yeah, look at the funny lady on the internet boys & girls, trampling all over my childhood nightmares :D
@ucme -I’ll need an elevator to do that.
The Outlaw Josey Wales
Syriana
@josie -Josey Wales: You have any food here?
Lone Watie: All I have is a piece of hard rock candy. But it’s not for eatin’. It’s just for lookin’ through.
That makes me laugh Every,Single,Time. :)
I have not seen the other.
Pretty Woman
Runaway Bride
Although it’s not my favorite, I did enjoy Fight Club; but not enough to watch repeatedly
Most Eastwood movies
@lucillelucillelucille Regarding Henry starred Harrison Ford & Annette Benning. Ford’s character was shot in a robbery, loses his memory, his ability to speak, & his mobility. It’s a story of the struggles he goes through as he attempts to rebuild his life. It came out not long after I had my stroke so I related deeply with Ford & it touched me deeply at the time & I like to revisit it every so often to remind me of the struggles that I’ve endured throughout my healing process. It’s one of those that I remember EXACTLY where I was & what I was doing at the time!!!
@LadyMarissa -Was his character a bit of a jerk before he was shot? I think I remember that movie.
I hope you are doing well now:)
Thank you @lucillelucillelucille I did pretty good for most of the time since I had it. Now I’m getting old & my body & brain aren’t cooperating very well anymore. Some days are struggles, but I do pretty good…considering!!!
Ford’s character was a busy executive who put his work before his family until he got shot in the head. Of course, after his tragedy, the business & his friends turned their back on him & his family was there to help him rebuild his life. Oh yes, just remembered, he was having an affair with another woman…so YES, he was a jerk…oops, forgot that part!!!
