For a while there America s could travel to Cuba, and lots of cruise ships were going to Cuba. The kibosh was put on it, and no more cruising there as far as I know. I’m assuming America stopped the ships and not Cuba, but I might be wrong.
What’s the current state of affairs regarding America and Cuba?
How do you feel about the situation?

Trump is pissed at Venezuela and Cuba is supporting Venezuela. Reuters article
Trump. Obama healed the USA / Cuba rift so trump undid it.
The situation has gone back to what it was before Obama eased tensions. As it should have.
@Dutchess_lll Castro’s brother Raul is still alive and ruling Cuba.
What was the problem with Castro? Half the shit in my house is made in China so it can’t be about that dictator stuff and treating their people poorly.
^^I think it’s mostly about the Cuban vote in the swing state of Florida. Most Cubans are Republican
I thought the younger Cuban-Americans are not so hung up on the anger against Castro as the older generation of Battistists. From my understanding, Americans can still go on some tours with visas and restrictions but cruise ships have been banned. I think it’s as much about reversing anything Obama accomplished as anything else.
^^A lot of the younger Cubans are Democrats. I don’t know the exact statistics on it. Probably, there is a good percentage of them who consider themselves independent or unaffiliated also, even some of the older Cubans too. Older Americans tend to vote more than younger, so playing to older people is probably a strategy used by both parties.
