Does St. Andrew, the Angel of Death on the T.V. series Touched by an Angel, ever come for people who are going to Hell?

Asked by Yellowdog (12216points) October 10th, 2019

I figure when someone passes away on the T.V. series, we are only shown what happens to people going to Heaven.

Even so, it might be comforting to have angels loving presence as they gently explain your eternal fate—and be a comforting presence, as the Lamia or whatever comes to drag you into the flames.

It would make an interesting twist to the usual outcome.

I never watched the show but isn’t “Lucifer” about the devil on Earth?

Your question reminds me of movies on the Hallmark Channels. Things are always resolved with happiness or with a kiss. People are always fundamentally good. Even the ‘evil’ protagonists end up having a good side or redeeming qualities. There are never ugly divorces, nasty arguments, or anything like that.

For that matter, Hallmark practically NEVER has black main characters. They have black supporting actors, but that’s as far as they go.]

Anyway this is make-believe TV. But Touched by an Angel would have been better if they were more realistic.

And for that matter, why are the dead that are contacted in seances always in heaven?
You would think that most of them would be in hell.

“But Touched by an Angel would have been better if they were more realistic.”
So at the end of each episode, it is revealed that they were mentally ill?

@ragingloli – that would be fine with me.

@ragingloli There are never ugly murders on the Hallmark channel, either. One entire Hallmark channel is devoted to murder mysteries.

I don’t mind a Hallmark television now and then to keep things positive, optimistic, and good— I don’t think entertainment and inspirational media needs to be realistic, after all, its almost romanticism.

The Christian movies like Overcomer are inspirational without making life rosey, or finding easy solutions, or relying on supernatural intervention. But even I avoid murder mysteries in pretty little resort towns with bakeries, tea-shops, and quaint little bookstores. Dealing with murder is very stressful.
