I don’t know , but thank you for that video. I remember that from childhood. I haven’t seen in decades. hahaha
It inspired my question.
My brother used to piss me off, then sing this song. XD
Yes.
* I’ve been upset about animal species extinction, wild habitat loss, climate change and pollution since I was a kid. It’s only gotten worse.
* Stupidity, corruption and jingoism in American politics has bothered me since 1980 and has gotten steadily worse.
* Stupidity and deception in US journalism has also bothered me for decades and gotten steadily worse too.
* Invasions of privacy have bothered me since kindergarten and have gotten steadily worse.
* Fascism, authoritarianism, police states and Nazism have bothered me since I saw them in World War Two movies as a kid, and it bothers me more and more the more those trends have increased in the US throughout my lifetime.
* Second-hand smoke always bothers me, though that’s decreased markedly over time.
* Anti-intellectualism has always bothered me.
* The culture of excessive extroversion in the US has always bothered me.
Etc.
@Zaku- #3 on your list is something I’ve been working on.
@Zaku – Controlling my agitation with it is a work in progress. XD
Well, I would say I still get upset about things, and some are still the same things. But some of the things that used to piss me off regularly no longer matter. What changed? I got divorced from my first wife. Things almost immediately took on a new look and as the kids got older and became adults, she matters not at all. I don’t think I’ve actually spoken with her for about 10 years. I don’t know where she lives, I don’t know what she does for a living, and I really don’t care. So circumstances changed, changing what was annoying me.
Bigotry has always upset me. It still does. It affects my loved ones.
@wiscoblond -It affects a few of my family members as well. They have done better as adults
Ah,politics! I don’t miss talking (?) about politics on Fluther. ;)
